The  very  first  Hurricane  tubs  were delivered in 1989. Since then, development has progressed well and today we produce 1000 tubs per year for the Norwegian market.
Fjordbad AS employs 17 persons.

Kjell Christensen, innovator and product developer, has left manual modelling and now develop new models by using the latest 3D computer programs. Design and technical adjustment is done by the computer before industrial robots cut out casting models for our mould workshop.
This has given us a lead regarding fast modelling and a unique double curved design.

This kind of development demands planned strategies where unique product qualities and effective distribution have been preferred instead of mass production of reduced quality.

After some poor years in the boat industry,   we decided to leave the production of boats at the end of the 80'ies and enter the business for bathrooms. Knowledge about moulding and casting of products in fibre glass   (reinforced polyester) was an advantage in the development of  a completely new type of spa baths.
